If you’re on the go or don’t have cable, it’s easy to watch the Golden Globes online or live stream the event from your smartphone, computer, tablet, or a compatible streaming device. Here’s what to know before the ceremony starts.
2026 Golden Globes
Date: January 11, 2026
Time: 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT
Host: Nikki Glaser
Location: The Beverly Hilton Hotel, Beverly Hills, California
Channel: CBS
Stream: Paramount+, DIRECTV, Hulu, YouTube TV, Fubo
How to Watch the Golden Globes Live Stream
CBS has exclusive rights to the Golden Globes, and there are a variety of ways to watch the show.
The three-hour ceremony will air live on CBS (via cable, satellite, or a digital antenna). It will also stream on Paramount+.
Be sure to tune in at the right time. The Golden Globes start at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT.
Streaming the 2026 Golden Globes live with Paramount+ requires the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan. If that’s now what you subscribe to, you can still stream the event the day after with any Paramount+ plan.
Other Ways to Stream the Golden Globes
You can live stream CBS from subscription services you may or may not already have to watch the Golden Globes. Consider a free trial to test out a service and see if it’s a good fit for you.
All of these services include CBS if you live in an area where the local CBS affiliate allows streaming.
DIRECTV
DIRECTV includes not only CBS for streaming the Golden Globes, but also ABC, NBC, FOX, PBS, dozens of sports networks, and features like unlimited simultaneous DVR recordings and unlimited device access.
To watch the Golden Globes for free, grab the 5-day trial from DIRECTV.
Hulu + Live TV
If you have Hulu + Live TV, you already have the perfect method for streaming the Golden Globes for free.
If you’re not a subscriber, Hulu sometimes offers a free trial that lets you stream CBS, ABC, CW, and FOX for a few days without paying. This is plenty of time to watch the Golden Globes for free.
YouTube TV
YouTube TV offers live streaming, on-demand TV, and an online digital DVR recorder. You’ll have access to CBS, NBC, AMC, HGTV, and more.
You can try YouTube TV to get the free Golden Globes stream.
Fubo
If you subscribe to Fubo, you can stream the annual award ceremony live.
Much like these other streaming services, Fubo offers a free trial with CBS access that lets you watch the Golden Globes.
Pluto TV
While not guaranteed to stream the Golden Globes, another method you can try is Pluto TV. Visit the CBS on Demand page after the event to see if it’s included in that collection.
Remember to cancel your trial after the event to avoid paying for an unwanted subscription.
Live Stream the Golden Globes Pre-Show
The Golden Globes red-carpet pre-show, with its fabulous and not-so-fabulous fashion and interviews, is almost as popular as the awards show itself. Watch the pre-show online from any streaming and viewing options listed above, starting at 7 PM ET / 4 PM PT.
