Who’s a big fan of having date night at home? Not only can you decide which dinner to cook up, but it’s also an excellent opportunity to open a special bottle of wine or make cocktails that don’t cost $18 each. Then, afterwards, you can cuddle on the couch to watch a movie or break out a board game. Best of all, you can save money.

Trader Joe’s is the perfect place to shop for the ingredients you need for your date-night dinners. Want to make cooking simple? Choose something like TJ’s pre-marinated Shawarma Chicken Thighs for your main dish. Even professional chefs love the store’s cheese options if you’re thinking about putting together a charcuterie board. You can even get individually sized desserts, such as its eye-catching passion fruit tartelettes that look like they came straight out of a French patisserie.

If you’re someone who prefers staying in and cooking as the ultimate date night activity, Trader Joe’s just brought back one of its most beloved pasta shapes, and it’s perfect for Valentine’s Day.

Trader Joe’s Italian Artisan Heart Shaped Pasta Is Back

Pasta is the way to anyone’s heart, and Trader Joe’s brings out its Italian Artisan Heart Shaped Pasta each year right around Feb. 14 to remind us that. Sure, Valentine’s Day may still be weeks away, but Instagram’s @traderjoesobsessed recently spotted the heart-shaped offering at her local store, so consider this your sign to start stocking up for the holiday.

“Love those noodles! So fun,” a fan commented. “My favorites,” added another one.

The adorable pasta comes in two tones, natural and red, which add a charming and festive touch to every plate it lands on. Now, what to pair with the pasta is entirely up to you. A traditional red sauce, such as The World’s Best Pasta Sauce—a favorite of so many of our community members—would be appropriate. So would vodka sauce.

But since Trader Joe’s went a bit unconventional with the pasta shape, you could also go unconventional with the sauce by making a rich butternut squash pasta sauce, a bright lemon one, or a slightly funkier Gorgonzola one.

The possibilities are endless, but this pasta’s time on store shelves is not. As with many of the store’s seasonal and limited-time items, this will likely sell out quickly. If you want it for your Valentine’s dinner at home, we suggest visiting your nearest TJ’s ASAP.
