Yogurt is one of those foods that sometimes gets overlooked. Growing up, my family stuck to kid-friendly brands like Yoplait and Dannon (the cotton candy Go-Gurt was my go-to). These days, I’m more inclined to enjoy brands that embrace the natural tanginess without artificial flavors.
Now, one of my favorites is Siggi’s, which I first tried at a nutrition conference during my freshman year of college. The Icelandic-style skyr has a smooth and creamy texture and left a strong impression on me. Since then, I have always made sure to buy a case when it goes on sale.
With flavors like Vanilla & Cinnamon, Strawberry & Rhubarb, and Mango Passionfruit, the brand truly elevates the yogurt experience. And the newest addition is no exception.
Siggi’s Introduces Tropical Yuzu Flavor
This January, Siggi’s is introducing Tropical Yuzu skyr, a small-batch yogurt flavor featuring what I’m (unofficially) calling the fruit of the year. If you’re not familiar with yuzu, it’s a citrus fruit that tastes like a mix of tangy lemon, bitter grapefruit, and sweet orange.

The fruit has been taking the world by storm, showing up in many products lately. Trader Joe’s recently released a variety pack of cheese and toast spreads, including one that blends mango and yuzu. Over the summer, I sampled a yuzu-mandarin flavored sparkling water, and the Cheesecake Factory also added several drinks featuring the fruit.
Silky-smooth yogurt is a great, easy way to incorporate the rising star into our daily diet, especially if you’re new to the flavor. Tropical Yuzu is a vibrant and tangy treat. It takes Siggi’s signature creamy skyr and infuses it with the citrusy, floral notes of yuzu fruit.
You’ll also taste a subtle hint of mango and pineapple, bringing even more tropical vibes to every spoonful. Made without artificial flavors or sweeteners, the skyr has 15 grams of protein and just 11 grams of sugar, making it a healthier and satisfying treat.
Besides enjoying it straight from the cup, the Tropical Yuzu yogurt can easily be jazzed up for an even tastier experience. Lean into the tropical theme by topping it off with shredded coconut, dried fruit, and granola. Or add some creaminess to your smoothie by blending it with frozen fruit for a luscious and flavorful drink. You can even bake some into a lemon cake for a rich and tangy dessert.
Siggi’s Tropical Yuzu hits grocery stores this month, so be sure to keep an eye out wherever you stock up on yogurt. Give it a try if you’re looking for a tropical escape to brighten up the winter season.
