In my mind, Christmas and candy go hand in hand. From little chocolates in Advent calendars to Snickerdoodle Cookie Hershey’s Kisses to Reese’s Sugar Cookie Cups, there’s nothing better than enjoying a sweet treat during the holidays.

One brand that has seemingly mastered the art of seasonal candy is Sour Patch Kids. From Sour Hearts for Valentine’s Day to red and green Holiday-Themed Sour Patch Kids, it is always coming out with new items to snack on and gift to others. Now, a Sour Patch Kids fan favorite is back at Dollar Tree, and I’m not sure it’ll last on shelves until Christmas.

Sour Patch Kids Coal Packs Are Back for a Limited Time

Dollar Tree is known for selling popular items at a price you can’t beat, which comes in handy when the holiday season is right around the corner. The latest addition to the store’s lineup of candy is the beloved Sour Patch Kids Coal Packs—a mischievous yet delicious treat to give as a white elephant gift or use as a stocking stuffer.

Each bite of the gummy candy features a black raspberry flavor and a pucker-worthy sour coating that’ll keep you reaching in the box for more. They’re so tasty you’ll fully realize why the brand’s slogan is “sour, sweet, gone.”

While not exclusive to Dollar Tree, the bargain store offers unbeatable prices. Shoppers found that the Coal Packs were instant crowd pleasers during the holidays. “I bought this candy for the kids’ Christmas stockings and it was a definite hit,” one person wrote.

Another added, “Delicious! They have a great flavor and are actually sour!” Someone else chimed in with “Surprised at what great flavor these had!”

In addition to the Coal Packs, Sour Patch Kids is also bringing back these seasonal goodies to retailers like Walmart and Amazon:

    • Sour Patch Kids 24 Days of Mischief Advent Calendar: A sour countdown to the holidays. Each day features two mouth-puckering Big Kids candies.
    • Sour Patch Kids Storybook: A festive short story to read throughout the holidays that comes with a king-size candy pouch.
    • Sour Patch Kids Candy Canes: The candy features a fun, tangy twist on the classic candy cane.
    • Sour Patch Kids Red & Green Theater Box: The mix of red and green candies with the familiar taste of Sour Patch Kids.
    • Sour Patch Kids Ornaments Stand-Up Pouch: Ornament-shaped redberry and green lime flavored candy in a bag perfect for sharing.
    • Sour Patch Kids Giant Theater Box: This 10-pack of original theater boxes is ideal for movie nights while watching your favorite holiday films.

New to the Sour Patch roster this year is the Santa & Elves Soft & Chewy Candy pack, featuring red and green holiday characters made for festive gifting.

When holiday shopping at Dollar Tree, you can’t go wrong stocking up on the cost-friendly Sour Patch Kids Coal Packs. Not only is the candy delightfully tasty, it’s a great cheeky treat to bring out some laughter and cheer this holiday season. The candy comes in a 3.1-ounce box, and if you enjoy a deal like I do, each box is only $1.25.
