What Happened at CES 2025?

The 2025 event continued the tech industry’s focus on artificial intelligence, along with some truly wild projects, including:

• The PXO Akira motion platform, a simulator rig that can hold a vehicle and move it on all axes to re-create movement.
• Xpeng Aeroht’s hybrid minivan that houses (and charges) an electric personal aircraft.
• Tenet brought out an AI-powered washing machine that reportedly washes, hangs, and folds your laundry.
• LG’s AeroCatTower, an air purifier with a cat bed on top of it. The bed includes a scale and will monitor your cat’s sleep.

What Kinds of Things Are Usually Announced at CES?

CES began in 1967 and has created a reputation for being the place for new tech announcements. In 1970, for example, CES showed a prototype of the videocassette recorders.
