Ice cream may seem like a summertime treat, but I personally believe that ice cream weather is year-round. Luckily, many fast food chains seem to subscribe to the same ideals, and continue to drop new and exciting frozen desserts all winter long, from Culver’s Mint Shake to Jack in the Box’s Oreo Matcha Shake.

If you are looking to beat the winter blues, though, Dairy Queen is channeling springtime vibes with its newest ice cream treat—and enlisting the help of an iconic collaborator to do so.

DQ Is Dropping a Savannah Bananas Split Shake

With baseball season quickly approaching, Dairy Queen just announced a partnership with the iconic Savannah Bananas to bring fans a home run-worthy treat: the new Savannah Bananas Split Shake.

Inspired by the beloved minor league baseball team, DQ’s newest dessert is a unique spin on an All-American classic that’s both nostalgic and satisfying. The new Savannah Bananas Split Shake starts with a base of DQ’s world-famous soft serve blended with real milk, fresh banana, strawberries, and chocolate shavings. And, just like the original banana split, the milkshake is piled high with whipped topping.

In addition to the new treat, baseball fans can also amp up the excitement with a chance to score a free milkshake from DQ. This season, any time a fan catches a foul ball at a Savannah Bananas game, new DQ Rewards members will be rewarded with one free small shake, redeemable via the Dairy Queen app. Regardless of whether or not you’re attending any of the Savannah Bananas’ games in-person, you can still try the Split Shake for yourself.

And anyone can try the new Savannah Bananas Split Shake at participating DQ locations nationwide beginning Monday, Feb. 23, just in time for the start of the sport’s season.

The new shake isn’t the only addition to the Dairy Queen menu this month. In addition to the Savannah Bananas Split Shake, DQ is also bringing back two fan favorites. Starting Feb. 23, DQ lovers can once again enjoy the beloved Mint Oreo Blizzard, or venture out and try the Mint Crunchin’ Dipped Cone that debuted last year—both perfect treats for mint and chocolate lovers everywhere. No matter which new treat you decide to try, Dairy Queen is hitting it out of the park.
