The $7,500 discount you used to get on electric vehicles has officially gone away. Now that the federal discount is no more, the fundamental question remains: Is it actually cheaper to skip the EV and stick with a gas car? We made it our mission to find out.The total cost of ownership (TCO) is the only math that matters when buying a vehicle. That TCO includes everything from maintenance and depreciation to fuel costs-and that’s exactly where EVs still pull ahead.According to auto experts, when you take the full picture into account, electric vehicles are usually the cheaper option in the long run. In a recent interview with the BBC, Sundar Pichai emphasized that AI is not a standalone source of information. He affirmed that AI works together with search and that AI and Search have their uses. Pichai also said that AI is not a replacement for either search, the information ecosystem, or actual subject matter experts. A number of tweets and articles mischaracterized Pichai’s remarks, including a BBC News social media post summarizing the interview with the line, “Don’t blindly trust what AI tells you.” Tweet By BBC News Don’t blindly trust what AI tells you, says Google’s Sundar Pichai https://t.co/h3yuTJnNOV…

arXiv:2512.05964v1 Announce Type: cross Abstract: Real-time chunking (RTC) enables vision-language-action models (VLAs) to generate smooth, reactive robot trajectories by asynchronously predicting action chunks and conditioning on previously committed actions via inference-time inpainting. However, this inpainting method introduces computational overhead that increases inference latency. In this work, we propose a simple alternative: simulating inference delay at training time and conditioning on action prefixes directly, eliminating any inference-time overhead. Our method requires no modifications to the model architecture or robot runtime, and can be implemented with only a few additional lines of code. In simulated experiments, we find that training-time RTC outperforms…

In November, Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s co-CEO, made a trip to the White House for a lengthy meeting with Donald Trump. According to Bloomberg, the two discussed a number of topics, but chief among them was Netflix’s plan to bid on Warner Bros. At the end of their conversation, Sarandos felt that “Netflix wouldn’t face immediate opposition from the White House.”This week, Netflix successfully won the bidding war for Warner, offering $82.7 billion. It’s well known that Paramount and its CEO David Ellison were eager to acquire the storied studio and its streaming assets. Ellison and his father, Larry Ellison, have…

When it comes to potatoes, everyone has their favorite variety—mashed, roasted, scalloped. But this year, one humble slow cooker dish rose above them all: Swamp Potatoes and Sausage. It’s a smoky, buttery mix of golden potatoes, smoked sausage, green beans, and Cajun seasoning, cooked low and slow until the potatoes are tender and the whole pot smells like a Sunday dinner.  It might not have the glamour of a gratin or the crispiness of fries, but this comforting, one‑pot wonder has clearly captured hearts (and saved buttons) across the Allrecipes community. As it turns out, Swamp Potatoes and Sausage even…

The duration of a total solar eclipse always varies. In April 2024, the eclipse that crossed North America lasted 4 minutes and 28 seconds. By contrast, the one that will reach Spain in August 2026 will only last 1 minute and 43 seconds. In less than two years, both will be put to shame by the longest conjunction of the century.According to NASA’s solar eclipse calendar, the longest solar eclipse in 100 years will occur on August 2, 2027. Its total phase will last 6 minutes and 23 seconds. During that time, regions of Europe, North Africa, and the Middle…

The classic skillet grilled cheese forces a maddening trade-off: you either get a golden-brown crust with a still-suspiciously cold center, or perfectly melted cheese with bread that’s basically charcoal. You might have fond memories of your mom making it in a pan, but it’s time to admit that the skillet method is often a clumsy, high-risk gamble. If you want truly flawless grilled cheese every time, it’s time to break out the air fryer. You’ll get golden, delicious crispiness, a cheese pull that should be in a commercial, and unrelenting taste — all achieved with less butter and zero greasy stovetop cleanup. This is more…

My 15-year-old son loves ramen noodles in all forms, from fancy bowls of warm ramen and instant ramen soup packets to heat-and-serve stir fried ramen noodles. So whenever he spots anything labeled “ramen” on store shelves that he hasn’t tried before, it goes straight into our shopping cart. On our last trip to Aldi, his eyes lit up like a Christmas tree when he spied Fusia Teriyaki Ramen on a shelf. At only $2.95 per 8.11-ounce container, these head-and-eat noodles are reasonably priced. The packaging, shaped like a miniature takeout box, adds to the appeal, giving the impression that it…

HTG Wrapped 2025: 24 days of tech 24 days of our favorite hardware, gadgets, and tech I’m not a fan of gaming headsets, so for the Razer BlackShark V3 Pro to impress me enough for me to recommend it to you is no small feat. I’ve tested well over a dozen gaming headsets in the last few years, and have only found two of them to be solid. The Razer BlackShark V3 Pro is the better one of the two, and although expensive, it was a definite tech highlight for me in 2025. With that said, I didn’t love it…
