Cheerios Just Dropped an All-New Product, and My Dad Will Be First in Line at the Grocery Store

My dad knows a thing or two about quick, easy breakfasts. Before he retired last year, he spent decades waking up long before the sun and prepping himself a simple meal to fuel his morning. Once while I was visiting, I noticed a container on top of the refrigerator filled with a curious mix: Cheerios and oats. 

He told me that he mixes up a batch every few weeks and pours a quick bowl before biking to work. Genius, right? He must’ve been onto something because Cheerios just dropped an all-new breakfast product, and I’m certain my dad will be among the first in line to try it.  

General Mills Introduces Cheerios Granola 

Eagle-eyed shoppers recently noticed an exciting new General Mills product in stores: Cheerios Granola. It’s available in three varieties inspired by some of the brand’s most popular cereal flavors: Honey Nut, Chocolate, and Apple Cinnamon. The 10.5-ounce bags are priced around $4.50, though prices may vary by region.

Cheerios Granola is the perfect way to top Greek yogurt, enjoy with a pour of milk, or grab by the handful for an on-the-go treat. Each bag features the cereal’s iconic multi-grain sweetened O’s and crunchy oat clusters. Depending on the flavor you choose, it tastes just like the cereal you know and love, but with a toasty twist.

Food Insider @markie_devo shared a photo of the new lineup on Instagram, and fans raced to the comments section to share their excitement. “The new granola blends look great. I appreciate seeing brands add more whole-grain options,” wrote one person. “Granola?! This is going to be amazing!” exclaimed another. “I’m really excited about the Honey Nut granola the most!” added one more. 

My Honest Review of Cheerios Honey Nut Granola 

I was lucky enough to spot the new Cheerios Granola at Walmart, so, of course, I had to snag a bag. I chose Honey Nut for my taste test, but I regret not buying all three because shoppers have already cleared the shelf.

I was impressed by just how crunchy each spoonful was, and I especially loved the clusters. I feel that it truly tastes like Cheerios-inspired granola, not just granola with a cup of cereal thrown in. The sweet honey taste is noticeable throughout, and I have no doubt this will be delicious in any way fans choose to enjoy it. 

Cheerios Granola has already started rolling out to stores that carry the brand, so be sure to keep an eye out for it on your next grocery run.
