Walmart Has a New Cheese and I’m Buying 10 at a Time

While the holiday hosting season may be over, my need for endless stocks of cheese in my fridge is not. Whether I’m making a charcuterie board for a game night in or adding creamy, cheesy flavor to my favorite pastas, chicken, or eggs, I like to keep multiple blocks of my favorite cheeses in the deli drawer at all times. Plus, it’s never too early to start brainstorming recipes for my Super Bowl spread in just a few short weeks. 

No matter what I’m making, there’s always one cheese that can go with every recipe: Boursin. The herby, garlicky soft cheese makes the perfect charcuterie board star with crackers, delicious sauce for a comfort meal, or simple appetizer when rolled in bite-sized pieces of crescent roll dough. And while I always have a wheel of the traditional Garlic & Fine Herbs Boursin on hand, I often branch out, trying other existing flavors and any new ones. 

Boursin’s newest limited-edition flavor was recently spotted at Walmart—and I’m racing to buy as many as I can before they disappear from shelves.

Boursin’s Hot Honey & Roasted Garlic Cheese Is Now at Walmart

Walmart is now selling Boursin’s new Hot Honey & Roasted Garlic flavor, which the brand released in late 2025. The soft, crumbly cheese is flavored with sweet-and-spicy hot honey (AKA the hottest flavor of 2025) and caramelized roasted garlic. 

Together, it’s a blend of sweet heat, savory garlic, and tangy cheese flavors that make what fans are calling “the best Boursin flavor [they’ve] ever had.”

“Loved the taste! With just a tiny bit of heat and sweet to balance it out! It’s not overpowering, it’s perfect,” writes one Walmart customer.

While many customers say the Hot Honey & Roasted Garlic Boursin is perfect as-is, served with pita chips or crackers, others have given it rave reviews when used in recipes. 

“Great to toss into a pack of cooked, frozen veggies or simple meat dishes,” one Walmart reviewer writes. 

“2 or 3 blocks of this melted into a large container of heavy cream makes an amazing Alfredo-like sauce for some spaghetti,” another fan writes. 

Walmart is currently selling the 5.3-ounce box of spreadable cheese for about $5.46, though prices may vary by location. And, even though the Boursin box reads “Limited Edition,” Boursin told Allrecipes that the Hot Honey & Roasted Cheese will be sold nationwide through the end of 2026. So, you’ll have plenty of time to make Hot Honey & Roasted Garlic Boursin pasta, eggs, or bites for everything from easy weekday meals to potlucks and holidays this year.
