White Castle Frozen Food Division has issued a recall for more than 1,000 cases of its frozen Original Sliders, according to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA). The boxes labeled “Original Sliders” may actually contain Jalapeño Cheese Sliders, which have milk and soy in the ingredients list. Therefore, the White Castle Original Sliders box does not include the correct allergen warning, per the FDA’s guidelines.

How To Identify the Recalled White Castle Sliders

The recalled frozen sliders were sold in four-count boxes, labeled as White Castle brand Original Sliders. The recalled products all have the UPC 0-82988-02969-3, a best-by date of April 18, 2026, and either the lot code 9H203521 or 9H203522. The FDA has photos on its site to help identify the recalled White Castle products.

White Castle’s recalled burger sliders were shipped and sold between August and October. The FDA says the products were primarily sold at convenience stores, and there’s a potential that they were sold in all 50 states.

No other White Castle products sold at grocery stores, nor the sliders sold at the fast food restaurants, are affected by this recall.

What To Do if You Have the Recalled White Castle Sliders

White Castle says its Jalapeño Cheese Sliders were accidentally packaged in Original Sliders boxes, which do not include an allergen warning for dairy or soy—both of which the Jalapeño Cheese Sliders contain. White Castle was notified of the issue when a consumer contacted them after experiencing a non-life-threatening allergic reaction from consuming the incorrectly marked sliders.

If you have the recalled Original Sliders and have a dairy or soy allergy or sensitivity, you should not consume them. Eating these sliders, which are actually Jalapeño Cheese Sliders, may cause a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction.

Should you have the Original Sliders in your freezer, but don’t have a milk or soy allergy, you do not need to respond to this recall. The burgers are being recalled because the box contains the wrong product, not because they are inherently unsafe to eat.

The recalled White Castle Original Sliders can be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund. For any questions regarding this recall, you can contact White Castle at 1-800-843-2728.
